Škoda Starts Production of the New Peaq Electric SUV
Škoda Auto has officially started series production of the new Peaq electric SUV at its main manufacturing plant in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic.
The Peaq becomes Škoda's largest electric vehicle and serves as the brand's new flagship battery-electric SUV.
Production Begins in Mladá Boleslav
Production of the Peaq began on August 6, 2026. The new electric SUV shares its production line with the fully electric Enyaq and Elroq as well as the combustion-powered Octavia.
Škoda says this flexible production approach allows the factory to respond quickly to changes in customer demand.
Large Electric SUV
The Peaq measures approximately 4.87 metres in length and offers a large interior designed for family and long-distance use.
The SUV is available with configurations designed to offer substantial electric range and strong performance.
Škoda's Largest EV Battery
The top Peaq version uses a 91 kWh gross battery pack and offers a claimed electric range of up to approximately 642 kilometres, depending on specification and testing conditions.
The vehicle is based on Volkswagen Group's Modular Electric Drive Matrix platform.
New Technology
The Peaq introduces several new features to the Škoda range, including a large panoramic roof with Dynamic Shade Control and bidirectional charging technology.
The model is designed to combine premium comfort with the practicality traditionally associated with Škoda SUVs.
The Peaq represents a major expansion of Škoda's electric lineup and gives the brand a flagship EV capable of competing in the large electric SUV segment.
A New Flagship for Škoda
With production now underway, the Peaq is moving from launch preparation into full series manufacturing.
The model joins the Enyaq and Elroq as part of Škoda's rapidly expanding battery-electric portfolio.
