The New 2027 BMW i3: Modern Design and a Range Exceeding 800 km

 

Leaked official images of the all-new 2027 BMW i3 have been circulating in the press and on social media. The images reveal the production version of the electric flagship of the new 3 Series, which appears identical to the concept car unveiled last year.

The car features sharp, straight, and flowing lines, with integrated door handles that give the body a sleek and clean look. Designers have retained the iconic Hofmeister curve in the side windows, while the rear features slim, wraparound LED taillights that add a sporty and modern touch.

Inside, the images reveal a fully digital cockpit, dominated by a floating, asymmetrical touchscreen in the center of the dashboard. The new 2027 BMW i3 also borrows the four-spoke steering wheel previously seen on the iX3, reinforcing the unified design direction for the Bavarian manufacturer's next generation of electric vehicles.

Technically, the new BMW i3 will be based on an 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling ultra-fast charging speeds of up to 400 kW. Initial reports suggest the car could break the long-range barrier, with a driving range of over 800 kilometers (500 miles) on a single charge, placing it in direct competition with the most powerful electric vehicles on the global market.
